Overall, I really enjoyed presenting speech 6. It was my last hoorah and honestly my biggest achievement. It is nice to look back to the first speech and remember how nervous I was to give a 1-2-minute speech, and now here I am trying to fit everything that I want to say in under 4 minutes. I think I did a great job with eye contact, body language and connecting with my audience. My outline was very well written which allowed me to stay on point and present it with confidence. Like I said in this speech, confidence was my biggest struggle but also my biggest accomplishment, so I am proud to say that I now love who I am when giving speeches. Using all of the techniques I have learned was very interesting. I notice myself thinking about them before the speech, but then having each technique appear naturally throughout my speeches. One thing I would still like to work on is my pace and even some of my transitions. I think I do talk a little fast but overall, everything else seemed pretty solid. I think I finally have the concept of public speaking under my belt. With that being said, so much more came with it such as confidence, the ability to give and receive feedback, and just being able to work well with others and track all of my progress along the way. This class has allowed me to grow in so many different ways and I can confidently walk away proud of how far I have come. I have truly soared to unimaginable heights and I cannot wait to use these skills in my next future endeavors.
